The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) manages the PF of employees in India. At present, EPFO is running three schemes for employees engaged in industries and organizations.

EPF Scheme 1952, Pension Scheme 1995 (EPS) and Insurance Scheme 1976 (EDLI) are the three schemes of the government that cover employees under PF and pension coverage. At present, the government is offering interest at the rate of 8.10 percent on EPF. Let us now know how you can know the EPF balance from your mobile. Subscribers can use four simple methods to know pf balance online.


1. SMS


UAN active members can know their latest PF contribution and their balance with EPFO by sending an SMS to 7738299899 from their registered mobile number universal account number. The feature is available in English (default) and Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Bengali.


2. missed call


Members registered on the UAN portal can seek information from their registered mobile number by giving a missed call to the 9966044425. After two rings, the call is automatically disconnected and the member does not have to pay any charge to avail this service. If the member's UAN is linked with either bank account number, Aadhaar and PAN, the member will get the final contribution and PF balance information.


3. EPFO Portal


You can log in to EPFO Portal: epfindia.gov.in and view your passbook using your UAN number and password on the member e-Seva portal.


4. Umang Portal


You can also check your balance using the EPFO app on the UMANG platform. Umang app can be downloaded from Google Play, App Store and Windows Store.
